For the holiday week, I’m reviewing some of the important stories I’ve covered during 2023.
Artificial intelligence has captured many of our imaginations (and our fears) over this year.
Here are some of my posts on AI over the last year:
May 5: Artificial intelligence and empathy (part 2 of this note)
July 18: My report on economist David Cutler’s JAMA article on AI
And a five part series from September:
September 22: AI is already widely used outside of health care
September 23: AI is common in health care, too
September 24: ChatGPT and Doctor Google
September 25: Mitigating Risks
September 26: Bots aren’t limited to business hours
Here’s a link to a talk I gave on Artificial Intelligence and Human Resources earlier this month for the Pittsburgh chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists.

Have you done any research on AI assisted mammography? Recent client questions have come in asking if they should be covering this seeing that it is being offered in certain radiology offices particularly in NY at 40.00 out of pocket. Could be a good topic.
